30-Day Return Policy

At Outside Depot, we recognize that purchasing home furnishings is a significant investment of both time and money. We strive to provide a hassle-free shopping experience for all customers. If a product from our online store does not meet your expectations, our experienced sales team is happy to assist you in finding an alternative option or, if none is suitable, helping you with a return.

Need to Make a Return?

Most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund or site credit (see exceptions below). Items must be in their original condition and packaging to qualify for return. They must not have been installed or modified, and all additional parts, accessories, and instruction manuals must be included.

All eligible returns are subject to a restocking fee. Furniture, mirrors, umbrellas, and grills carry a 20% restocking fee, while lighting, rugs, and other categories have a 15% restocking fee. Items marked as special order on the product detail page may incur additional fees.

Items That Cannot Be Returned Include:

  • Personalized, custom, or made-to-order items (including replacement cushions and special-order upholstery)
  • Mattresses
  • Clearance or closeout items
  • Open box items
  • Gift cards
  • Samples
  • Electrical accessories
  • Large quantities of the same product (six or more)
  • Items that have been assembled or installed
  • Items without their original packaging
  • Items postmarked 30 days or more after delivery
  • Items shipped outside the continental United States

Returns Shipping

Return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund. These costs vary depending on the return location. Additionally, any original outbound and/or upgraded shipping costs paid on the order will also be deducted from the refund.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Upgraded shipping (room of choice, expedited, express, white glove, etc.)
  • Assembly services
  • Address change fees

Damaged/Defective Items

We understand how frustrating it can be to receive a damaged or defective item. If this occurs, the Outside Depot team will work with you to find the best resolution. Outside Depot reserves the right to first attempt a repair but will move to replacement or refund if a repair is not feasible. To qualify for repair, replacement, or refund, you must contact Outside Depot within 10 days of delivery. A representative will request any necessary information, such as photos or delivery documents, and may require the return of the original item. If the requested information is not provided, or if the original item (when required) is not returned within 30 days of delivery, Outside Depot reserves the right to deny a refund or replacement.

Refund Options

Refunds can be issued as either store merchandise credit or to the original payment method. Store credit can be used on www.outsidedepot.com or any affiliated site. Restocking and shipping fees will be deducted from either refund type.

Cancellation Policy

Subject to brand-specific exceptions, orders can typically be canceled before they reach the stages of processing, production, or shipment. Refunds for eligible cancellations will be processed after Outside Depot confirms with the manufacturer that the order has not been processed, is not in production, and has not shipped. Custom and built-to-order items cannot be canceled for a full refund once production has started. If a cancellation request cannot be completed, the item-specific return policy will apply.
